From September 2017 to April 2018, I’m a “volunteer-in-residence” at Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Israel, on the outskirts of Jerusalem and near Bethlehem. The Institute opened in 1972, created by Notre Dame University’s legendary long-time President, Fr. Theodore Hesburgh, as he responded to Pope Paul VI’s request for a center of study and interfaith engagement in Jerusalem.
This blog reflects my thoughts, learning, experiences, and faith life while living in the Tantur community and contributing to its mission in whatever ways are needed.
I am honored by those who choose to follow this blog and my journey in pursuit of the same goals of interfaith harmony and peace. I will respond to comments in order to extend the dialogue to which Tantur is devoted.
